  1. My wife's battery was flat so I gave her a jump from my 02 plate Pilot diesel and switched off the van engine before removing the jump leads . 10 mins later I went o start the van and the ignition lights came on and then went out , I tried again and this time the ignition lights flashed off and on accompanied with loud clicking and buzzing coming from relays under the bonnet to the right of the engine and also something on the engine . I thought at first the battery lead had loosened and as it was OK , thought it could be flat so I have left it on charge though doubt this is the case , also thought there was maybe an issue with the ignition switch , but I may have done something else in giving a jump . The +ve lead sparked off brake pipe as I removed it which I've just remembered so perhaps I've caust a short / spike in the system . Any other solutions welcome . I am now at work so unable to try out solutions till later . regards Stephen
